So Long But Not Goodbye from Christy Curtis and Julie Cohen

Nearly 3 years ago, Christy and I (Julie) signed our contract to start Military Moms Blog while sitting in the lobby of a San Antonio Gold’s Gym — we were using that as our makeshift office because of the free childcare, of course. A few months later, we officially launched — me perched on a cardboard couch in another lobby — this time, TLF at Aviano AFB in Italy, the only place with a strong enough internet signal, and Christy, surrounded in boxes in her new house in Lakenheath, England where her family had just PCSed.

While our beginnings were hectic to say the least— launching a business and managing 40 writers isn’t the easiest (or smartest) when we had both just moved overseas — our team stood faithfully beside us. Since our official launch on July 11th 2017, we have posted more than 800 original blog posts and have garnered well over 1 million unique pageviews.

We are really proud of this, but we are even more proud of what we and our team of writers have created — a safe place for military moms to connect and support each other.

Thank you for your readership, business and support over these last three years. Owning this business has been an incredible opportunity for us.

As Christy and I began to stare down our next military moves and some life changes, we knew it was time to hand over the torch, which is why today we are so excited to announce Military Moms Blog new owners: Amie Glazier and Rachel Carpenter.

Amie and Rachel have been on our writing team since the beginning and throughout the years have taken on larger and larger leadership roles. We are so incredibly happy to be able to hand our baby over to such capable and caring hands – the future for Military Moms Blog is bright.
