Alicia grew up in The West and met her husband at Utah State University where the fun began. In the last 11 years, they have become a National Guard, Army Reserve and now Active Duty family. The adventures started in Kentucky, East Texas and now the San Antonio area with their two girls. Alicia loves books, especially children’s books and has been collecting/hoarding them long before she had children. Before staying at home with her kids, Alicia taught preschool, served families through community education and worked in various nonprofit organizations. Today, she spends her time loving her girls, trying new foods, finding time to exercise and sneaking in moments to read a book or play the piano.

Amie, who is originally from Denver, has lived in seven states and three countries. She currently calls the Florida Panhandle home, and she is a proud mom of two young boys and a proud Navy wife. After receiving her B.A. in English, Amie worked in many different fields trying to find her niche. Now, she is a personal trainer by trade, but a stay-at-home mom by choice. As it turns out, being a stay-at-home mom is the best job she never knew she wanted! She is passionate about fitness, healthy living and music. She finds joy in helping other moms connect in community and strongly believes we were not meant to journey though motherhood alone. Amie still enjoys traveling and is looking forward to the day when her boys are older, so she can show them the world. Follow Amie on Instagram at @mrs.amielou.
Amy is a military mom blogger who likes pushing into the hard. Her most recent work was in partnership with We Are Fresh Kids, an independent food company re-imagining healthy snacks for kids. Though new to military life, she’s always up for an adventure – even when it includes cockroaches (thank you San Antonio). Amy is passionate about giving hope through the power of words. She enjoys reading a good book while cozying up to a warm latte. She’s transparent and authentic. You can follow her personal journey at mywalktojoy.wordpress.com.

Brittany hails from Phoenix, Arizona, but has lived all over through her husband’s career in the Air Force. They have moved from Arizona to Texas to Italy to Korea (for him) to Illinois (for she and the kids), and now Texas again — but this time as a reservist! Brittany has three children and currently spends her time studying in graduate school, mastering the art of precision over-the-shoulder snack throwing in her minivan, and saying yes to every single thing anyone asks her to do as a volunteer.
Caitlin is a wife, mother and sometimes English teacher (thanks PCS schedule!), who is originally from the Chicagoland area. She jumped headfirst into military life after marrying her husband, James, in 2010, and has enjoyed a whirlwind of adventures ever since. Her favorite part of being a military spouse is the frequency with which her family is able to travel and explore new cultures. She enjoys snuggling her two children, cruising Netflix with her husband, and writing with her sister at their joint blog, Loud Is Ladylike. Caitlin is thrilled to be part of the Military Moms Blog team and looks forward to connecting with the many wonderful members of this community.
Cari is a Wisconsin native who married her high school sweetheart and said yes to the adventure of Navy life. She’s the mama to Eva, the sweetest toddler around, and Beau, the sweetest Chocolate Lab. She and her family are calling the D.C. area home, at least until the next PCS. She is passionate about cheering on other mamas and keeping it real. If she’s not at Target, you can usually find her on her front porch enjoying good conversations, good beer and avoiding housework like the plague. She also writes about motherhood and life over at The Sweet and Sound.
Christian is an Army wife since 2007 and home educator to three beautiful children. When she’s not teachin’ those babies or dreaming up things to write to you lovely ladies, she devours books, consumes copious amounts of coffee and tries to spend as much time as possible being active outdoors. Her other hobbies include trying to get people to pronounce her name properly (it’s a doozy!), making obscure 90s pop-culture references and embarrassing her family by singing waaaaay too loudly and confidently in proportion to actual skill. She strongly dislikes relaxing (where my ADHD ladies at?!), and considers herself a recovering perfectionist/anxious mess and continual work-in-progress. (Spirit of honesty and all that, you know.)
Corinne is eager to share her challenges with finding purpose outside of a title or role alongside her journey as an Army wife and new mom. Her last five years as an Army wife have brought five moves – including one OCONUS, a sweet son, Joshua, and many turns in her career. Most recently, she has found fulfillment as a freelance marketing consultant at Teahouse Creatives. Corinne has a heart for people and a tendency to overthink most situations. Tetris, trying new recipes, long walks, and traveling are a few of her favorite things!
As an Active Duty Air Force Officer, Emily is proud to wear the uniform herself. She is stationed in San Antonio, where both she and her civilian husband are medical professionals. A working mama with a crazy schedule, a toddler and a newborn, she could not live without coffee, Amazon Prime, and a lot of help. Favorite pastimes include experiencing live music, eating amazing food, and crossing destinations off her travel bucket list. Navigating the challenges of working outside the home while having babies has made her passionate about women helping women and a firm believer in the truth that you can never have too much grace for yourself.
Emily is a wife, mom, exercise enthusiast and world traveler who happened upon this military life much like any one of you. A whirlwind romance, two kids, seven years and five moves later, she is living the dream in Argentina as she travels the world with her family … at least for the next two years. This crazy life has brought many laughs, many moves, a few deployments, countless TDYs and some tears, but she would not trade it for the world. A ‘sometimes annoyingly so’ optimist, she can turn any thought into a song, and you will always find her dancing. So next time you’re boogieing thru Buenos Aires, send her an email and she would love to show you around.
Erin lives with her Army doc husband and two boys on the windward side of Oahu. When she’s not in the middle of a toddler dance party or tickle fight, Erin loves to jog by the ocean, play with eye makeup, and send super long voice messages to her friends around the world. Erin writes because she believes vulnerably sharing our stories with each other is the best way to heal, connect, and find hope in the future. Former blog editor of the Good Mother Project, Erin’s writing has also appeared on Mamalode, Scary Mommy, and her personal blog, www.erincurlett.com.
Gretchen lives with her family near Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where her husband is stationed with the Army. She has a young daughter (born in Stuttgart, Germany, one on the way), and enough pets to warrant a Roomba in the near future. She works as a mental health counselor part time and enjoys occasional (slow) running, cheeseburgers, and not cooking.
Heather is a stay-at-home mama and a freelance writer. Her husband is a medically retired wounded warrior, having served in the USMC and the Army. Together, they homeschool their fab five in sunny Central Florida. Outside of her family, Heather’s greatest passions are helping others, sharing her faith, writing, baking, and going to Disney.
Jamie is originally from a small town in Texas. She and her husband met while students at Texas A&M University and have been married 11 years. He is in the Air Force, and they are currently stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada. They have been lucky to be stationed overseas previously, allowing them to travel all over the world. Jamie enjoys animal rescue and is a fur-mom to three adopted dogs and three adopted cats. She is hoping all this will prepare her for the arrival of her first human baby, a little boy. Jamie enjoys running, travel, reading, home decorating, and drinking wine.
Janna Hudson is a work-from-home military spouse and mother of four resilient children. She currently resides in North Yorkshire, England, where her husband, a U.S. Air Force pilot, is currently serving as an Exchange Officer with the Royal Air Force. When not exploring the world with her family, Janna likes to sew, paint, build stuff, grow things, photograph and write about that which inspires her. She has written and illustrated picture books for children and a Women’s Fiction novel called “Legacy: And Other Things Left Behind.” Learn more about Janna by visiting her personal website: http://hudsonbooks.wixsite.com/index/.
Jen is married to a Navy helicopter pilot and is a mom to two amazing and well-traveled boys. She currently lives in Belgium and is new to the stay-at-home mom gig, having left her 20+year career in government and public affairs before moving overseas two years ago. She enjoys traveling, reading, writing, and volunteering, and in her spare time, she is trying to become a better cook and learn how to knit. Born and raised in the Midwest, she now calls Florida “home,” but as the saying goes, “Home is Where the Navy Sends You!”
Jenn has a Masters degree in Psychology, four kids spanning an obscene age range, and an overdeveloped interest in “The Why.” Shortly after adopting the title of Army wife, she went through a pretty serious discontentment with the mental health field. A long hiatus gave her the opportunity to find out more about herself while leading her to the realization that, fascinated as she was by social behavior, she was less attracted to delving into the darkest pits of others’ psyches. That said, things could change. They usually do. Jenn also is an author, find her books, The Jessica Hart series, on Amazon and in bookstores and libraries, and check out her website at https://jennbrink.blog/.
Jordan relocated to the coastal Carolinas (in an effort to escape the cold) after attending Kent State. There, she met and married her husband, a Marine. They are now stationed in North Carolina where she is a full-time stay-at-home mom and writer. Jordan is a motherhood lifestyle blogger and social media influencer. She is a volunteer for the Stroller Warriors running club, creator of the Beautifully Imperfect Mama blog, and is currently working on her first novel. When she’s not arguing with her toddler about keeping his diaper on or eating his veggies, she can be found creating new recipes in the kitchen or curled up with a good book and a cup of coffee (or wine … depending on what kind of day it’s been).

She has been referred to as a “Crazy Dog Lady” by more than a bushel of folks, and she volunteers at the county animal shelter on a regular basis. Kate is married to a very kind man, who always makes her laugh and is her partner-in-crime in her pursuit to eat anything and everything along their journey.
Though currently stationed in Colorado Springs, Dallas remains the forever home of Texas native Krista. As an Active Duty Air Force spouse of 12 years, she’s weathered six deployments and five changes of station. She is proudly the mother of three rambunctious boys, one good dog, one very bad dog, and one sea monkey that is somehow still holding on. The contradiction of having a full house of young children and a serious case of wanderlust keeps her life interesting and perfectly suited to the military. Krista spends her weeks chasing babies, devotedly attending Bible studies, hiking the beautiful Colorado landscape, and enjoying evening cocktails with her husband.

Mallory is the wife of a U.S. Marine and mother of two. She is a stay-at-home-mom who proudly hangs her Ph.D. diploma in every house the military moves her to. While she looks forward to the day she can be back working and researching in a lab, she cherishes every moment she gets to watch her children grow and support her husband’s career. This is certainly not the life she dreamed of, but it has become more rewarding and fulfilling than anything she could have imagined. She and her family are currently stationed in Japan and love every minute of it.

A mom of two boys and three dogs, Sarah’s life is a bit of a circus. The dogs are barking at the mailman, the baby is learning to crawl and the toddler is running around without pants, and her husband can’t find his keys. But there’s living overseas, learning French, coffee, laughter, photography, dancing with her husband in the kitchen, fresh baked cookies, family travel and adventure planning, and every so often, a chance to serve her country when Sarah works as an Air Force Public Affairs Reservist.
Sarah’s military experience began at her birth on Hill AFB, Utah, to a young airman and his wife. The Air Force eventually brought her family to Montgomery, Alabama, where her father retired as an Air Force Master Sergeant. It was there she met her husband, Cody, a preacher’s kid at the family church. Sarah graduated from The University of Alabama to become an accountant for a national healthcare company in Birmingham, Alabama, where she lives with her husband—a combat medic in the Army National Guard—their daughter Wilda, and their faithful labradoodle, Tolkien. They are expecting a son, Augusto, later in the year. Sarah enjoys history, a good book, and most of all, play days with her husband and daughter.
